HOT Trends in Costume Jewelry and Accessories Fall 2007
We love the "trends" report at Amazing Adornments. It is a lot of fun to do the research as you might imagine and we enjoy sharing our opinions on the up and coming trends. Here is what
stood out for Fall 2007!
We noticed an abundance of tan, brown and orange. We also saw blues, silver and yes, white. Teal blue was really big in clothing, while for jewelry the blues tended toward, but not limited to,
blue topaz colors. Red and fuchsia were also in the mix.
Metals in gold and silver, organic material that was carved and sometimes decorated. Resins/plastics that were bold, sometimes carved, very dimensional. HUGE rich looking gems! Black cord with crystal
pendants. Gypsy looking bangles.

Big seemed to be the theme for the fall season. We saw huge rings that almost dwarfed the wearers hand. The rings all had a unique look. Most were worn on the thumb or pointer finger. All of the big jewels we saw were fit for royalty or the pickiest diva out there! We saw huge cuff bracelets as well as smaller bangles that when worn together gave that "BIG" appearance. Necklaces had huge pendants that could not be missed. Long beaded pieces also made the scene. We also spotted several multi- strand numbers that were to die for!
DEVELOPING TREND: Less seems to be more. Now that does not mean small pieces, we actually mean bold pieces, but less of them. For example one really bold bracelet and little else [in terms of
jewelry that is!]. You can't go wrong as long as you think classy rather than trashy!
The ears were adorned with all sorts of goodies. We still saw the buttons mixed in with large hoops and drippy dangles. We even saw a few small studs. Usually when we saw the studs, the wearer had on one really gigantic necklace or bracelet!!
Clutch bags were all over the place. I like big bags myself as I carry a lot of gear, however some of the purses were decorated with feathers, stones, metallic strips and looked so darn cute!
The must haves: Necklaces with bold pendants and at least one really cool large/wide bangle.
