Signed Chanel Straw Hat Charm Necklace
Some have called Gabrielle [CoCo]
Chanel
the "militant of costume jewelry" because of her quirky wit and her take charge style of management. She is also known for her trendsetting looks in clothing, handbags and jewelry.

She was responsible for the faux pearl being accepted by the fashionable ladies of the 1920s. Several had tried before her and failed. Her ultra long pearl necklaces became indispensable.
Chanel, according to the book Costume Jewelry for Haute Couture by
Florence Müller, in a 1967 article in Elle magazine, Chanel states that "luxury was an art form"! She knew what she wanted, only the best.
This necklace was Made in France and dates to the 1980s. It is heavy and very well made.  The gold- tone metal is has exceptional plating.
