UNGER BROTHERS Sterling Art Nouveau Pin
This classic pin is from the premier manufacturer of Art Nouveau sterling pieces in the United States, Unger Brothers. The Unger Bros. established their company in Newark, NJ in 1872. They began manufacturing silver around 1878. This is one of their signature designs depicting a lady that looks to be Native American with a feathered bird, painted face and long dangling earrings. This is a most desirable piece to add to a silver, Art Nouveau or Unger Bros. collection. The rare pin has an extended open “C” clasp and is marked with the interwoven “UB” plus “Sterling, Fine and 925”.
