Jewelry Buying Lessons Learned for 2006

It has been an AMAZING year and it is not over! We have had a great year and we thank our customers for helping to make it happen.

To poke a bit of fun at this wonderful field we came up with the following list. Please note these are just for fun and did not really happen!

No Junk in this Lot!
Translation: No Mardi Gras beads, however there will be something wrong with every signed piece, unless they are earrings!

I pack all of my items with care.
Translation:
Your item will be wrapped in what ever I can find around the house.

This lot contains hand picked jewelry.
Translation:
This is the jewelry I couldn’t sell.

All items are in excellent condition.
Translation:
Just ignore the darkening at the tips of some stones or the scratches all over the rhinestones.

No filler.
Translation: Just a ton of cluster earrings signed Japan.

All designer lot.
Translation:
Seven pieces of Sarah Coventry, Five Avon and two Trifari, one of which is missing a rhinestone or two.

High- end Lot:
Translation:
All great designers, most are damaged unless they are earrings!

The pictures do not do this lot justice:
Translation:
That is because I had to place most of the jewelry in such a way as to hide the flaws.

The piece is gently worn.
Translation:
The piece looks beat to ….!

The piece could use some cleaning.
Translation: Verdigris Alert!

I charge actual shipping charge.
Translation:
Okay so I am sending a pair of earrings Priority Mail for $4.85 rather than use First Class for about 1.00. I like the free packaging.

I want you to be happy with your purchase.

Translation: I hope you don’t notice the replaced stone.

250 Pieces of GREAT Signed Vintage Jewelry.
Translation:
150 plastic bead necklaces, 50 pairs of earrings, none signed. 50 signed pieces, most broken.

Insurance is included.
Translation:
I jacked the price of your jewelry up so high I can afford to pay for the insurance and them some!

Happy Holiday’s from Amazing Adornments!
