DeLizza and Elster Juliana Easter Egg Demi Parure

These folks had an eye for drama! The colors are so intense. Most know the big speckled cabochons at the center of the pieces as "Easter Egg" stones. Note how the colors are the same as those in the rhinestones. Just to think that only a few years ago, this set was just another unsigned beauty! Now we thankfully know who manufactured it.

DeLizza and Elster produced jewelry for themselves as well as many, many other costume jewelers. Most notably Weiss, Kramer and even Sarah
Coventry
. This is just a short list! Any company could purchase from
them.

Because all of their jewelry made for themselves was unsigned you have to know the characteristics of their work. You will see many pieces of
unsigned jewelry on eBay or at shows and fairs being attributed to this company especially if they have big rhinestones that are in an open setting. Not all of it is.

Learning the characteristics is becoming easier now due to several new books and jewelry groups. Some things to look for are: layering, wire over flowers, puddling, strong rivets and crystal dangles. As we have said before if you can five a five link necklace or bracelet that matches unsigned pieces you have, you can be pretty sure they produced the unsigned pieces.

Juliana jewelry was produced by this company. Not all jewelry produced here was Juliana. Juliana jewelry was only produced for a short period
of time, approximately 2 years. They were "signed" only with a paper hang tag and some appeared on a paper card.

If you were around during the 1970s into the 1980s you know that rhinestone jewelry was not very popular. D&E wanted to keep up with the
times so DeLizza and ELster also produced pieces without rhinestones! They produced belts, pendant necklaces strung on cord, chunky charm necklaces in metal, sometimes with cabochons and so much more.

The "Easter Egg" pieces are highly collectable and usually sell for big bucks! Actually most of their pieces are pricey now, however those with the mesmerizing art glass type stones are usually the most expensive.
