Auguste Bonaz French Art Deco Hair Comb
Auguste Bonaz was the premier hair ornament designer during the Art Deco era. His output was not limited to hair adornments. He also produced fabulous Galalith necklaces and we have seen, but never owned, pins and cigarette cases.
This comb is faux tortoise shell with a gold plated decorative section. As you can see some have the plating is long gone. Because this piece
is so old ca. 1920s, we do not feel this is a detractor. We feel it actually
makes the comb more special adding beautiful aged patina and it is a
survivor!
