Rare Signed Calvaire Rhinestone Clover Brooch
While reading the book Inside the Jewelry Box Volume One by Ann Pitman, a few years ago, she mentioned that jewelry with this hallmark was rare. We thought we would try to see how many pieces we could find at auction on eBay. Well, the results were not surprising as Ann knows her stuff. In one full year we saw two pieces at auction. Now, we could have missed some as we did not set up an automatic search, but still!!
In her current book, she shows several pieces from a dealer/collector which really gives you a flavor for the different styles this company produced. Rhinestones, big glass stones with sensational cuts, sterling plus rhinestone pieces and handbags are all represented.
This grand clover shimmers with crystal clear prong set rhinestones. It is large and will no doubt grab attention.
