What you Need to Buy Now
At Amazing Adornments we love vintage jewelry. We also love fashion and we believe they go hand in hand. Here is a short synopsis of what jewelry you need to buy now!
For the Ears: Chanel was showing huge earrings. We noticed hoops and stiletto earrings. Plus, remember those button earrings? Pull them out if you have them, word is they will be HOT!
For the Neck: Continuing from last season gold seems to be the metal for Spring. We spotted bold
chunky chains like those worn in the 1980s. Lariats seem to be making another run. We saw them worn alone and stacked with other necklaces. We also noticed a trend towards classic jewelry such a pretty pearls. Silver was seen also just not in the same quantity as gold. Dominique Sirop was showing a great looking bejeweled Lariat layered with another necklace. Too pretty!
For the Fingers: Stacked rings.
For the Wrists: Bangles are still fresh, especially when you stack them. Charm bracelets were seen
everywhere! Big, and I do mean BIG cuff bracelets were also in evidence.
Bridal Report: Vintage seems to be on the upswing. Rose cut diamond rings were once not as desirable. Now they are the rage! Other antique look jewelry is reported to be selling also.
For the Hair: Jeweled hair ornaments, 1980s styles, huge and huger! Headbands were everywhere.
Trend Alert: A couple of trends stand out. One is the use of flowers in jewelry and the other is the color blue. Bold color seems to be on the horizon including bright yellow. We also saw a lot of black and white. Metallic was everywhere. Marc Jacobs was showing huge metallic and bejeweled
handbags and shoes. There was a mesh necklace in white that had all sorts of big glitzy jewels attached. He was also showing a choker with huge jewels attached. Anna Sui was showing lots of prints accompanied by big handbags and leggings.
Feminine designs, Victorian looks, white clothing, blue jewels with a smattering of street is how I would sum up the up-coming Spring look.
