New Costume Jewelry with an Old Look
Some of Suzanne Bjontegard's fabulous costume jewelry is featured in Ann Pitman's latest book Inside the Jewelry Box Vol. 2 including the remarkable flower pot pin below. I do not think Ms. Bontegard's jewelry is as widely known on this side of the Atlantic, but due to the book mention that is certainly going to change. Usually prices spike for jewelry once mentioned in a costume jewelry book. I should add that while doing research on this jewelry, I did find on a few boards, that many in England are already seeing the prices for this jewelry rising. The datelines are all prior to the release of Ann Pitman's book earlier this year.
The colors here are vivid and the rhinestones are of high quality. This brooch has weight and the backing is richly finished. You can see from the image how reflective the rhinestones are. You might not be able to sit in a garden all day, however you can wear this pin and take the
garden with you.
Suzanne Bjontegard is also known as Suzi B. If you like high fashion jeans, this name might ring a bell. In 2001 she produced a line of jewel encrusted jeans. The jeans were made with vintage denim and crystals from London. In September, of that same year, Debra Messing wore a pair
during the premiere episode of hit sitcom "Will and Grace".
