Coro Patented Acorn Demi Parure
As soon as we saw this fabulous set we knew it was special. It has such a sweet design and it is quite hefty. We also think the acorn set is perfect for the autumnal season!
Coro having been so large made jewelry in several different price ranges.
You could find their output in finer department stores and at a five and dime
store like the old Woolworths. The company also employed many designers. The quality varied as your might have guessed.
The patent for this well- made piece was issued to Adolph Katz in 1955. The acorns are glass and detailed. Clear rhinestones are used as accents about the brushed gold- tone leaves. The earrings are the screw- back type.
