Trifari 1939 Patented Trembler Floral Clip
Here is a great piece of costume jewelry produced by one of the definers of American costume jewelry, Trifari. As if the design alone was not enough, the two flowers are en- Tremblant. Another key here is the condition of this grand floral fur clip. It is in spectacular condition and this certainly raises the bar! Both flowers still bob and jiggle when you move the clip. The gold- plating is in exquisite condition as are the rich real looking clear, blue, red and green stones.
The patent number is 116082 and it was issued in 1939 to Alfred Philippe. There is a link to the patent below. The patent number does appear on the reverse of the clip along with the hallmark
making it really easy to date. The hallmark is the earliest with the crown over the "T" to be used on metal.
